Word 2k on Win2k
By the subject, this sounds super easy, but I don't know that it is.
I am not experienced with VBA, but maybe I could use it here to fix my
problem.
I am working on a US Government contract with specific requirements,
some of which are absurd as some of you may know.
When a table spans multiple pages, the header rows must say that the
table is (continued). An example would look as follows (spanning 3 pages).
Table 1 - Configuration List for PC 001
Table 1 - Configuration List for PC 001 (continued)
Table 1 - Configuration List for PC 001 (continued)
etc...
Since the header row text automatically repeats, I can't edit the second
and third page headers.
Things I really don't want to do, but I will if I have to:
1. Break the tables so that I can edit the header rows of each one
(totally hoses the autonumbering).
2. Manually number the tables.
Things I really want to see done.
1. I would really like to stop working from Government specs written
before I was born.
2. I would really like to see the Government update their requirements.
3. I would really like to stop paying taxes that contribute to the
inefficiency that is created/perpetuated by working on specs written
before I was born (or the creation of the PC).
