In Made in Sony - a book by Akio Morita, he has explained the problems of
offshoring. Sony never believed in cost cutting by laying off people or
moving to offshore locations. He has described it very well. It has been a
while and my memory might be a bit hazy. If someone knows more about it, it
would be great if they could throw more light on it.
