Hi gang. I have developed a Webhelp system using Robohelp X4.1. My client
just purchased Robolinker. I was hoping to use that to do my links and get
this system delivered today. Found out on Friday that Robolinker and UNIX
boxes might not play nicely together. The developer says we can't use
Robolinker with UNIX boxes. Is it possible to use Robolinker on a UNIX
box? What do I need to do differently? Would simply installing Robolinker on
the server that the application is on work out the kinks? Or sending an exe
of Robolinker and the help system work? The e-help literature talks about a
UNIX runtime script. Is there a standard one to use?
With Robohelp X3, I got some funky publishing errors and E-help responded
that I need to download FTP software from the internet. Then they said that
X4 should fix those errors. The developers here are super busy, so I
thought Robolinker would make all our lives easier. I checked the archives
and the info there is for much earlier versions of Robohelp. Still waiting
for e-Help's answer about all this.
