Subject:RE: What would you like to read? From:"Westbrook,Beth" <beth -dot- westbrook -at- dhs -dot- state -dot- tx -dot- us> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Mon, 29 Sep 2003 08:34:39 -0500
Subsections could cover:
*Writing without definite and indefinite articles
*Repeating errors in revisions to not admit mistakes were made in the
originals
*Dragging your feet to milk the contract for overtime (something I p***ed
off management by not doing)
*Changing industry standard terminology to accommodate knee-jerk political
correctness ("slave hydraulics" -> "service hydraulics")
*Microreporting your time in six-minute increments
*Writing instructions without second person personal pronouns
Can you tell I really hated working in that industry?
Something else that always bugged me: Validation is where you test the
procedures to verify that they work, and Verification is where the DOD
validates the procedures.
