I find it interesting that this discussion seems centered on whether a
Masters degree is worth something for getting a job or advancing in a job.
I found that it did not get me a job or advance my job, but it gave me a lot
of information I would not have easily obtained otherwise: Visual Rhetoric,
Proposal writing skills, etc. This is not to say you cannot pick up this
information elsewhere. Education for education is an interesting topic.
IMHO, Education for advancement is somewhat boring. If you need it to
advance, then get it.
