Sure, but YOUR customers are programmers. Your customer's customers are their
users.
Can you provide an example when you'd have to refer to "users" and "end-users"
in the same sentence/paragraph/chapter/manual?
If you are referring to both in a single manual, if you are talking to the
programmers to describe what their users will see, why not say user. I have to
think that if your using "user" and "end user" in your manuals that they are
stilted even for a technical audience.
