First, I would ask your client which version he is using.
I had a similar problem with one of my former students.
We resolved the viewability problem by setting the view to "page layout" (as
someone else suggested);
then enabling comments (under Tools/Options/Track Changes). If your client
is using Word '00 or XP, there is also a reviewing toolbar option
(View/Toolbars) that enables the same thing.
Another thing to consider is having your client print only the comments you
have made. This is an option under the Print dialog box available in Word 97
on, and the results can be useful for people who like to do hard and soft
copy comparisons.
