Goober asked:
> So if it's an informal communication, why does it matter?
1) because I value precision and clarity, and all the options I've
explored seemed lacking in that department
2) because I'm a big advocate of conversational writing, and continually
seek ways to capture my own fabulous mode of speech with the written word
2) because some tech writers I correspond with tend to be nitpicky and
quarrelsome, apparently in an attempt to glibly assert some smug sense of
superiority by constantly questioning why I would even want to do the
things I do. Dontcha just hate people like that? <g>
