*Beware when sending your prized manuscripts through a Hotmail account.*
I relation to this thread, I have had emails sent through a Hotmail account
bouncing back when I send them to AOL addresses. When I send an email to one
(1) email address (e.g. * -at- aol -dot- com), the delivery failure notification says
that the email was *also* sent to ten (10) additional email addresses (e.g.
* -at- hanmail -dot- net, * -at- shinbiro -dot- com) - See sample below - I believe that when I
send an email to a single alias, it should go only to the aliases that I
type in the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: fields, not 10+ aliases not
intended/acknowledged for distribution. The only reason I am aware of this
is due to AOL's rigorous anti-spam reduction policy for its users by
rejecting the email sent from the Hotmail account. Microsoft suggested
contacting the anti-virus software manufacturer to ensure the virus data
files are completely up to date. Then, run the virus scanning software to
help ensure the PC is not infected. However this happens from multiple
locations (PC via DSL, PC via modem, LAN), and all have the latest AV
profiles so I do not believe it is PC related.

Subject: RE: The 104-114 rule: Follow-up
When we first discussed MS virus attachments, John Posada mentioned that,
"about 75% of these buggers are 9k in size." I'm guessing that the size
range is dependent on how the mail server or ISP processes them -- anyone
know the answer to that one? Anyway, as long as the size range is narrow
enough, the adjusted mail rule works well.
