for each numbering style, create two macros: one to reset the numbering to 1, and the other for regular numbering. Then put the macros in the task bar or in a menu.
I don't know that I'd bother with macros for such a simple task, but I *do* have autotext entries for the SEQ fields I use most frequently (first- and second-level numbered lists: 1, 2, ... and a, b, ...).
