Until someone comes up with a better way to create the PDF from HTML files, here's a suggestion for dealing with the increase in file size. Each time you make a change to the PDF, use Save As to create a different file. This technique dumps most of the clutter and duplicated information in the file. You can always rename the ensmalled file afterwards.
Thanks for the advice, Jean. I have been saving with "Save As". Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to
stop the file size from increasing if you're deleting and replacing bookmarks and associated pages.
