Andrew says:
"I am sorry if you (or anybody) finds my posts offensive. But, I am not
your friend or mother."
I reply:
This brings to light an assumption that some folks may be making, which
maybe we should examine. SHOULD we think of the other members of this
list as friends? On the one hand, I see the point that we have to have
a different set of expectations of our business associates than we do of
our friends because our business associates are primarily concerned with
how we perform professionally. On the other hand, I sure don't want to
make any ENEMIES here. Of course, another issue to consider here is
that even friends should be allowed to criticize.
Andrew says:
"When somebody posts something to this forum that sounds wrong I am
within the rules to say 'hey, that's wrong' or 'you're out of whack.'"
I reply:
I repeat -- there's a difference between saying these things and saying
"It makes no sense for anybody to think what you do."
