My employer has been developing a new multi-processor controlled comm. box
for over a year now.... ...everyone on the
team had unlimited time to work on their parts, but then I get two weeks.
Dan, another way to look at it is that you had a year, too. You knew about the product, but were waiting for permission to start? Maybe six months ago would have been a good time to start collecting info and circulating outlines.
Time to get pro-active, and develop some channels into the engineering and QA departments. I bet you could have gotten some time on that box a few months ago.
Not criticizing, though... I totally sympathize. I went through the same experience you describe more than once before arriving at my current perspective.
