Neither Distiller nor the PDF format is involved in this error. The
problem is with the application sending the document to the print
driver. You haven't said anything about what application that is or what
the documents consist of. For example, if the documents are in Word, I
can think of several types of corruption that might account for this
behavior, depending on what Word features are being used.
