Re: ADMIN: An Open Letter to the TECHWR-L Community
Please don't forget that Techwr-L is not an entitlement or a personal
piece of property. If you feel it is so, then I hope you are
submitting bids to the Rays off-list.
Nobody is going to submit a bid without knowing the value of what they are bidding for. (and no, nobody expects that info to be published - they just expect to receive it upon inquiry).
Posting your opinion on the fate of techwr-l here does no one any good.
Well - Doober - I guess you and I have both plenty of experience with that!
You might re-read the original open letter, in which Eric solicits ideas from the list. Responding to that letter is not out of line at all (whether it's wise or not is a different question).
Eric of all people would have known the trollfest that would ensue. If he didn't want it he wouldn't have posted the open letter.
How does that phrase go again? Ah, yes... "put up or shut up"
Chicken, egg. Put up for *what* ?
If you are trying to put together a solid sponsorship deal, the sponsors demand more info up front before committing to a sponsorship.
