TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Since many of us are increasingly being called upon to communicate with
colleagues in other countries, whether as equals, employees, or
managers, I thought I'd pass along a useful resource:

This specific issue of their newsletter relates to working with Indian
colleagues, but most of the recommendations would seem to work well for
communication with people in any other culture*. In the past, this
publisher has had useful articles on working with or in China too. Well
worth a look. They offer an interesting newsletter; I've never had any
particular problems with spam or other unpleasantness from subscribing.
* Confirmations, exceptions, war stories, and other anecdotes welcomed!
