Out of curiosity, has anyone ever negotiated a contract ahead of time where you obtained rights to credit, as part of the agreement to do documentation?

Interesting question...we've just updated the TECHWR-L Poll, at
http://www.techwr-l.com/techwhirl/ (lower right) with the
similar, but broader, question "Have you, as a tech writer, ever received credit by name for the docs or online help you create".

I'll be interested to see how it plays out....please keep us posted.
