Hi Karen,
If David's suggestion doesn't work, try this variation: print your
document as a Postscript file and distill that from Acrobat. Another thing
you can try is making a modification to the PDF Setup > Document Info
dialog under the Document window (any modification should work, I've found
that when PDFs from FrameMaker start failing on me, changing that screen
seems to set things right).
