TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
OK, let me rephrase that. I *re*reread the original query, and I don't find
the original poster to be, as you put it, "completely oblivious to the idea
that there is such a concept as ethics in the first place, let alone that
you or I as individuals have any obligation to behave ethically toward one
another."
With all due respect to your continued outrage, Dick, it is _possible_ that
you misunderstood the original poster's request for a "heads-up." Some of
our colleagues have already suggested reasonable, alternative
interpretations. Maybe they're wrong and you're right, but maybe -- just
maybe -- they're right.
