TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Okay, if no one has an answer to this specific question, perhaps I'll go
more general.... Those of you who do tech translation between English and
Spanish, what resources do you use beyond a standard English-Spanish
diccionario for translating those more obscure technical or business terms?
What I'm looking for is a style resource that can help me find and use
standard terms, instead of just picking whatever terms I think sound right.
By analogy, consider using a standard English dictionary for tech writing,
vs. using a Manual of Style for Tech Pubs (or similar style book).
Any advice or suggestions welcome. I haven't done much translation, but
might get the occasional project thrown my way in the future.
Cheers,
Mike

Subject: MSTP en español?
Does anyone know if Microsoft's Manual of Style for Technical Publications
is available in Spanish? (Either a downloadable electronic version or a book
would suffice, earlier versions are fine too.)
I've done some digging, but haven't found anything so far.... Alguien me
puede ayudar?
