This is possible, and if so may be an indication that the firm was not
deliberately trying to jerk you around but merely has poor internal
communications and one rude acct rep. But it really doesn't change
the basic question, which is whether the experience soured you
sufficiently on the firm that you'll never want to consider potential
opportunities from them again and whether the acct rep's behavior
offended you sufficiently that you feel the need to try to do something
about it. Incompetence can often be just as bad an experience as
deliberate maltreatment. :)
