Unfortunately, no matter how well you slice up topics,
I fall in-between! I document networking IO cards,
which includes both hardware and software. Although
networking is listed, it is tied with security, which
in my company, is documented by another group. But
it is closer to my products, so I went that way.
I'm also the only one (of 20) who has any interest
in documenting processes and procedures, and receives
thanks in return.
CB - who's previous hardware was fighter jet fab,
a long way from IO software/hardware
