Hey, it's just some numbers and a story I made up because Eric asked for hard numbers showing where someone could lose money by being paid hourly. My scenarios may be unrealistic, but then again, maybe they're not...
Definitely not---my point was not to denigrate your scenario, which is completely valid. I was trying to point out that, well, Bob has options he may not have considered as a salaried employee.
I know for a fact that I work more hours on salary than I do as a contractor, mostly because when I work hourly, I pay attention to such things. For some reason I still prefer salaried work... not sure why, now that I think about it.
I forgot to say thanks for your thoughts---should have said that in the first place.
