When I signed on for this job, I was promised my own office space, and
had to share another guy's room for two months using a substandard
test server to do my work, while they got it ready.

I finally got my own office, and absolutely love it, but many of the
long-term employees are angry that I leapfrogged them, and are
expressing it in no uncertain terms.

I feel terrible about this, because I didn't want to feel as if I was
putting on airs or demanding special favors. On the other hand, I
can't work as well when I have to share an office with another person,
particularly the guy I was working with...he was on the phone
constantly and was rather rude.

What would you do in this situation? Grin and bear it? Joke around? Or
just ignore it and do your work?

Martin
