Perhaps, just maybe if we all start contacting MS in droves, they may
consider looking into the malfunction.
I don't think that'll help. What I'm taking away from the KB articles is that malware purveyors have discovered compiled HTML (CHM) as a vector for leveraging MSHTML's power over the local system.

Why a rendering engine should have such power in the first place (can you say ActiveX?) is the real question -- and you won't get an answer to that. It's not a bug ... it's a feature!
