Anyone have a preference for a screen capture utility?
The GIMP is best
File -> Acquire -> Screenshot
Set the Window selection and Grab delays, to give yourself a few seconds to get the right window focused and any cursor positioning you need.
For KDE there's `ksnapshot`
For Gnome there's `gnome-panel-screenshot` (from the CLI). `gnome-panel-screenshot` is also invoked (under Gnome 2.10) from the System menu ("Take Screenshot ..."), or by pressing the `PrtScr` key.
The other desktops take similar approaches. I guess `xwd` underpins them all.
But The GIMP is best.
