About a week ago, I get a call from an agency.

Agency: Hello, Mr. Posada, we have an opportunity you are
particularly suited for....yadayada...What rate are you looking to
get?

Me: Thanks for the call...what rate are you looking to pay?

Agency: Well, the rate is not negotiable, so we need to know what you
want?

Me: Well, since it's not negotiable, what is the number you are
paying?

I don't think this is amusing, I consider it rather rude. Is this common practice with agencies to hang up on you? Is this a geography thing?
