I just started a contract and my client has a tight
deadline for some new modules in their help system.
Their last three technical writers left me a mess to
work with...so I had a thought as this situation is a
little new to me.
One of their existing help modules works beautifully
and the formatting is exactly what they want. So I
thought if I took the RoboHelp project files from this
module, rename the project, and cut/pasted the new
information into the rename project files while
renaming the necessary tags and other components.
Then generate the help system. This way I could avoid
the endless troubleshooting trying to use the mess
left behind by the previous writers.
Anyone every do this before?
Any possible pitfalls I need to watch out for?
Any particular areas easily overlooked when renaming
the components of the help system?
Thanks for the input.
- Anthony
