So I
thought if I took the RoboHelp project files from this
module, rename the project, and cut/pasted the new
information into the rename project files while
renaming the necessary tags and other components.
Then generate the help system.
Any possible pitfalls I need to watch out for?
Any particular areas easily overlooked when renaming
the components of the help system?

Rob Magrino, my RoboHelp instructor, helped me out of a tough situation
just as you described with the following advice. I had to create 4 help
files for 4 different products and they were almost identical except for
about a 20% change. This worked beautifully.
"All you have to do is open Windows Explorer and make
a copy of the entire project folder so you have two project folders.
Next you open RoboHelp and open the project like you normally do. Since
RoboHelp does not have a rename project feature built in, you'll have to
visit the kbase to learn how to rename of the project files and then make a
few configuration changes so you always "know" which project you are
working
on.
I would advise trying the rename option on a copy of a copy of your
project."

just lies there, dozing; and the world quietly reshapes itself to suit his
