Re: Indexing a 212-page tech document using WORD '03
Since "Same as Previous" is the default setting, any header or footer
with "Same as Previous" disabled has been set that way by the user. Word
shouldn't *automatically* reset them to "Same as Previous" every time
you update the field. That's a bug, darn it.
Again: If you mean the headers and footers for the sections inserted by the { Index } field are set to Same as Previous, that's the right choice and not a bug.
If you mean the headers and footers for the *enclosing* section are changed somehow, then I misunderstood, and you're right: that would be a bug.
