Re: Tour of Duty :)
I heard an interesting "statistic" today about software developers. I was told that the median amount of time that a software developer stays with one company is 18 months. That got me curious about what the median amount of time a technical writer stays with a company. Does anyone know this, and what are the average times the people on this list have worked for one company?
Sorry to break the curve here but I've been at Sun
for 14 years and am by no means the longest serving
person in my documentation department. And we work
with engineers on our core product who have been
around longer than I have.
