Installation: putting the software on a computer/into a system of
computers and networks
Configuration: Setting up the software to work with a particular
computer/system/network. Often done as an option to installation or even
*before* installation, but also done afterwards and continually as
things change.
System administration: all the stuff that keeps a system doing its job,
including:
* installation
* configuration
* troubleshooting
* backup and restore
and all the same for hardware, too.
System administration is the overall job description of a system
administrator. Installation and configuration are some of the detailed
tasks a system administrator does.

Subject: Installation - Configuration
Hi all,
Sorry for asking this super stupid question.
What are the basic differences between *installation*, *configuration*,
and *system administration*? In my opinion, there is a very thin line
between the first two.
