My peeve is placing the word "hand" after the words "left and "right".
Is "hand" really needed? Do people need to be told that "left" is the
side that their left hand is on? I prefer to just say "Click on HELP in
the top, right corner of the page" (Look Ma, No hand!)

A curiosity more than a peeve I have is the "homonym phenomenon" found
in emails and IMs (but hopefully not our docs). That's when people use
"your" for "you're", "there" for "their" etc. Just wondering why people
do that? Is it that people are in a hurry that they don't think about
what they're (got that one) typing or is it a lack of spelling and/or
typing skills? Any thoughts?

Ron

My current one is "actionable" when used to refer to
"something we need to act on," rather than the actual
meaning "something we could be sued for."

Close runners up have already been mentioned:
hypercorrection using "I" instead of "me," and
"between xxx to yyy" instead of either "between xxx AND yyy"
or "from xxx TO yyy."
