RE: Frame/PDF-to-Word converter
There's a $20 app at www.pdf-file.com that claims to do everything the
expensive ones do. I don't think it gets any cheaper than that...
Haven't tried it myself, yet.
I've used and liked ScanSoft, but it's well over $100.

Umm, not quite correct on a few points. The company once known as
ScanSoft is now called Nuance. The relevant product is called PDF
Converter Professional 3, and it is not "well over $100"; it is actually
a penny under $100. Nuance does have some more expensive products
like the OmniPage OCR product which can also convert PDFs to editable
file formats, but the $100 product should get the job done.
