Someone's already mentioned my main pet peeve, which is "utilize". I'll
even go so far as to correct someone when they use it in speech. "You
mean you *use* the widget template for this document?" Sometimes they
get the jab, sometimes not. But I have to choose my victims very
carefully for the health of my career.
My newest pet peeve, however, came this week in a meeting and the
overuse and incorrect use of the newest trendy word: uber. Ugh. It's the
"uber project plan". A what? Can we just kill that word? Puhleeze?
