Beth,
What a great story. Tech writing is, indeed, a small world. We've all
worked with folks who are unrelentingly negative, argue with everyone,
sometimes bully others, and then complain that they "don't get no
respect". They have no insight into how condescending they are and how
they affect other people. I has been my experience that they deplete
morale and tend to drive off good folks who don't want to make every
conversation a confrontation...often women, who would rather switch than
fight.
