I've got a document in Word with various formatting - headers, etc.
Allt he text when selected shows as 'char' (ratehr than 'Heading1' or
whatever) int he formatting display box. However, it *seems* to be
formatted corrcetly, and the TOC picks up what I assigned as H1, H2,
etc as headers. It's just that the display wants to call them 'char'
(which, it says, is some font and size I'm not even using and don't
see on the screen).

When I select the 'select text formatted like this' when it displays
'char', I get a bizarre hotchpotch of selected text - but even the
unselected text still claims to be formatted as 'char'.

What's up with that?
