I do note, though, that
hyphens are not used in either Windows or UN*X commands.
Joe, I'm afraid that line of yours has confused me.
Obviously, it doesn't take much... ;-)
"UN*X" is a variant I haven't encountered before - mostly, I've seen
people use "*NIX" to describe variants, look-alikes and flavors of
UNIX. If you meant this, then what about command-line switches in
*NIX, like "ls -l -a -R"? And some Linux distributions also have
hyphens in command names: "redhat-config-network",
"xscreensaver-demo", "gnomevfs-mkdir"...
In fact, executing "find . -type f -name "*-*" | wc -l" in /usr/bin
got me 425 results.
