Anyone here have any recommendation for digitizing a half-hour VHS tape? I

Recommendations appreciated.
If you have a digital video camera (Sony or other brand MiniCV Cam), you can
use that to do the digitizing. I've done it a lot of time. You haven't
told us if you have a DVD recording program. Some have built in rudimentary
video editing programs. A system with Windows Media Center software also
has a video editor that would work for AVI applications. I haven't used it
because I use Pinnacle Systems, but I played with my wife's new system and
it seemed to be okay.
