If you know their names, then by all means, send them a thank you. It
I don't remember where I read this tip - probably on TECHWR-L itself,
or in an article linked from a post - but it apparently hasn't been
posted yet:
Be courteous to everyone at the company, not just the people you're
interviewing with. Even if you're nervous, be polite and cordial with
the security officer(s)/receptionist(s)/secretary(ies) you need to
deal with, in order to get to your interview. At some companies, these
staff have a sizeable input to the hiring process, based on their
observation of your character and personal skills *outside* the
interview room.
