Content Management/XML for a Lone Writer...

I once was a regular poster, have not posted for a while. Have a great 
job in Boston, with the right mix of challenge, respect and reward. Glad 
to be where I am.

I've been asked to look at my doc tools and recommend upgrades (I've 
been a Frame/WWP guy for a very long time). I'd like to hear from 
Frame/WWP people who have:

   * successfully made the jump  to a Content Managment/XML based
     solution, and:
   * have done so as a lone writer (or with a small group)
