Nothing new about it. Most senior writer job descriptions
traditionally contain language about providing assistance
and guidance to less experienced members of a department.
The brief period of the dotcom produced a certain amount
of job description creep in which people who only did
their own projects were elevated to "senior" in order to
justify higher salaries, but in most non-newage companies
things are getting back to the way they used to be.
