G'day. There have been sporadic posts wondering about my new
existence. I would appreciate it if you could let the community
know I am alive and well in the heart of China, teaching
English to college students. That is, working very little and
being paid well - the complete opposite of my technical writing
career. I am enjoying taking a break from Technical
Writing, and hope that everyone is enjoying the new Word 2008
interface, my last hurrah before departing the scene. It is possible
I may rejoin the profession in a number of years, but certainly
not in the foreseeable future.
For various reasons I would prefer not to publish a contact
address, mainly peace of mind. I wish everyone on the whirler
the best of luck with their career, and hope they are enjoying
the constant re-skilling that will be the new hallmark of their
profession.
