I'm not saying this is a sensible course of action, simply that one must
set some standard and then go on with one's life. I default to the
Microsoft Style Guide standard, which has a single step procedure shown
as a bullet. I then simply point to the style guide when such
discussions come up, and that's usually enough :-)
