Which brings us back to my original point in this discussion.
In the real world, the definition of "technical writer" is set
by those who write the job descriptions and hire the writers,
and the definition of "technical writing" is set by those who
make the work assignments.
You think the technical writers here are being snarky about
defining what kind of work is appropriate for the job? Don't
try using any of these arguments on your manager.
