I have a some doc in Frame that gets output as a PDF and also, using Mif2Go
as an Eclipse Help plug-in. The basic cover design for books here includes a
graphic of the company logo which is a BMP file. This loge is positined
within a cutout of a rectangle object. (Why this is so lies in the deep dark
history of doc at this company--a decision made by a writer no longer here.
Another writer has tried without success to convert this file into a TIFF
which matches all our other pictures. ) Mif2Go can't export BMPs, so I have
made two covers for this doc and two books. The one for PDF has our regular
cover. The other, for the Help, has a larger TIFF logo, not embedded in
anything and some other changes to make it better for online viewing.
I would like to have just ONE cover and ONE book. The writer who is actually
writing text for this doc follows the build process but does not debug any
problems and I would like to have things as straightforward as possible.
How can I accomplish this? My first thought was to use conditional text. But
yes this is conditional TEXT and the main issues are with the graphics. Is
there a way to have conditional files in a book? (Frame 7.2 unstructured.)
Any other suggstions?
