I played around with the beta version at first and then the full release on my laptop, and I
recently upgraded my production machine (after I came to a good "stopping point" in a
project).
2008 seems quite stable to me. Occasionally D2H 2007 would hang while compiling or just
spontaneously crash. I haven't seen that in 2008.
I have Word 2003 on my production machine. D2H 2008 does have the new ribbon interface,
but everything is familiar enough that I haven't had any trouble making the switch. My laptop
has Word 2007 and that has been a bit of a struggle. That probably has more to do with my
ineptitude in Word 2007 than with the design of D2H :)
Note that my experience is somewhat limited since I am only carrying one project and the
rest of my work is "software management". Also note that I use the Word editing option, not
HTML. However, my full-time writer is also using D2H 2008. She hasn't come to me
screaming and pulling her hair out, so I think her experience has been similar to mine :)
