Yes you should split up an 800 page book. But only if you can divide it in
some sensible audience-useful way. I don't know your application but for
example, would it make sense to split into an Intro, Admin Guide and User
Guide? Or task oriented books such as, Intro to Foo, Designing reports with
Foo, Integrating for with your network.
