I'm on digest, so if others have commented on the absurdity of this
before...

 

SB wrote about her boss' failure to provide some guidance and a job
description, and that having these would be helpful to avoid a crisis.
The reply:

Well, duh...a crisis is -never- in sight. That's part of what makes it a
"crisis." If you see it coming you can plan ahead.
