Sorry, Sylvia, but you are right in that you are not going to change the 
management style.  It may be a pity but your best plan is to seek 
employment elsewhere.  There is a long answer with a number of choices 
but in nearly every instance known to me, the outcome is that you and 
the job circumstances are incompatible.  Make the move as soon as you can.
